Program Philosophy

Three Goals to begin each season:

  1. Build each individual towards becoming a better person, student, and player.

  2. Every player feels recognized and appreciated and leaves each practice with a smile on their face, whether they are an All-State player or the last man off the bench.

  3. We create a community and a family that even after players move on from our program, they want to come back and pass it forward to the next generation of Cleveland Warriors.

Emphasis: Control what we can control: ATTITUDE, EFFORT, & FOCUS

We will… 1.) PLAY HARDER; 2.) PLAY SMARTER; 3.) PLAY MORE TOGETHER

Team sports is an outstanding place for young men and women to learn many values, life lessons, as well as habits. These are the 5 core components of this program:

  1. HUMILITY- know who you are as a player & person. Not just being a humble winner & gracious loser, but cultivating trust with teammates and coaches, showing empathy and generosity, and being able to accept constructive criticism.

  2. ACCOUNTABILITY - be all the way in - unified toward a common goal! Showing up on time, give your all every play - not only for yourself, but for those around you. Give everything you’ve got, and inspire those around you to do the same.

  3. INTEGRITY - honesty is the best policy. Life provides us opportunities daily to “do the right thing.” Who will you be when nobody is watching?

  4. LEADERSHIP - learn to be a leader, on and off the court. Some of us lead by example, others through our words. Find your inner leader.

  5. GRATITUDE - be thankful for the opportunity. Every day is a new day full of opportunities to learn and grow. Be thankful for this, whether it is from a parent, teacher, coach, teammate, etc.
